Teacher training program in the United States

English language teachers from public schools in Brazil will receive intensive training in the United States as a part of the new certification in the United States for English language teachers. The program is a partnership between the Coordination of Enhancement of People of a Superior Level (CAPES), the US Embassy and the Fulbriright Commission for educational exchange between the United States and Brazil. It envolves the selection of up to 20 participants. The intensive course will last for eight weeks at tha University of Oregon, in Eugene (Oregon) and two weeks in Brazil for the conclusion of the project. Housing, meals and transport are provided for the participants.
This is the first international cooperation project established by CAPES for basic education teachers.
